You are not to blame

You are not the cause

of anyone mistreating you.

You are not the cause

of anyone disrespecting you.

You are not the cause

of anyone throwing poisonous darts at you.

You are not the cause

of anyone shouting at you.

You are not the cause

of anyone manipulating you.

You are not the cause

of anyone putting you down.

You are not the cause

of anyone attacking you.

You are not the cause

of anyone’ s hatred being directed at you.

You are not the cause

of anyone violating you.

You are not the cause

of anyone’s pain.

Abuse abuses innocence

to justify the pain it is feeling

to turn you into the cause of their pain

in the hope for revenge, for justice.

In the hope that by destroying you

its pain can be resolved.

But ultimately it longs

to get its innocence back.

That is why it is drawn to you.

Yet your light is feared

as it represents

the cause of its original hurt.

It was abused when it was

pure openness and innocence.

Blaming itself.

Blaming innocence.

And so the cycle

of abuse continues.

My own innocence finally realises

that it was never to blame.

She rises tall.

Opening her chest.

Fully spreading herself across the earth.

She sees that she does not have to carry

anyone’s hurt or pain any longer.

Abuse is no longer excused

to continue its abuse.

A firm No arises.

Thank you for showing me

That I am not the cause of your pain.

That I am a bright and tall column of light.

a cathedral of warmth and natural joy.

Tender and firm.

I don’t want or need anything from you.

I wish you no harm.

I am here waiting.

I am here gazing.

I am here breathing.

I am here loving.

I take a few deep breaths in.

I breathe you in.

through my winged angel lungs.

All the way down into

the ground of Being.

Pure substratum.

Where you dissolve.

You can no longer harm me

or anyone else.

I am not afraid of your threats any longer.

I won’t restrict my breath

in your presence ever again.

Instead I breathe you in even more deeply.

The cycle of abuse ends here.

We are done.
